Where Reading Really Rocks
Welcome to the John Kennedy Media Center! Our facility houses over 20,000 books, as well as 25 computers for student use. Please feel free to "tour" the Media Center below. Also explore the online databases from the link at the left; passwords are available in the media center for your use.
THE LATEST: - Don't forget to return your Summer Reading Book and Summer Reading Log to the library. We hope you enjoyed the book; there are many more books just like it in the collection - just search the OPAC or ask!
- The library catalog is also available for home access through the link listed below. Just click on the link.
- Feel free to stop in to the library and check out some of our new books.
- Try out some great interactive online books from by taking a look at the Online Database Book Flix. There are great videos of picture books, and then interactive non fiction partner books to read aloud, along with some cool online quizzes and activities. Visit the Online Databases (on the left) and use the JK passwords (available from the librarian) to visit this great site.
- Read and join the discussion on the LIBRARY BLOG
- What kind of books do YOU like to read? Take this cool survey for fun by ranking your FAVORITE type of book - and view the results immediately!
- Become a part of the collaborative fairy tale at our Story Wiki. To add your own sentences to the story here, login at the top of the screen as jkstudent1, password jkstudent1. Then, just click the EDIT tab, and make your own changes to the story. Keep the story going....
- Check out our new Fish4Info site! You can look for books, and even write a book review! Login using your district login and password, and explore!
- If you visit the library, and there's a book you can't find - request that we get it for you. Use this form to submit your request.
- Parents are welcome to take a look at our collection and borrow materials. Stop by and visit!
