WHAT IS A JOB SHADOW? A SHADOW is the placement of a student into a job situation as an observer of the business’s typical daily routine. This observation will probably last for a few hours during a regular work day, or days, and will not exceed 10 total hours. There may be a need to have the student attend a safety orientation in certain businesses prior to the shadow. The student will do no work nor receive payment for this shadow experience. The student will be encouraged to ask questions about the employer’s business. Job Shadows are only offered for 8th grade students. If you are interested, please contact Mrs Marzello. First the students must complete a "Student Application" to start the job shadow process. See link below For more information please click the link to the left "Job Shadow Information"
