NSBA SITE VISIT BATAVIA  -    MAY 4-6, 2008

Technology in our schools was the focus of the National School Board Association Site Visit hosted by Batavia City Schools on May 4-6 of 2008.  During the visit policy makers, administrators and educators got to see teachers, students and staff interacting with technology tools that enhance learning as well as increase effectiveness and efficiency.

This visit showcased effective technology integration, including classroom visits, exploring instructional management systems, student/parent information systems, the district webpage and collaborative teaching models.  The visit included options of visits to all five schools, as well as opportunities to explore other district technology initiatives.

The district was honored to host this Site Visit, and invited interested school districts to come and take a look at what can be accomplished when curriculum and instructional programs drive technology in a district with a committed staff and supportive administration focused on the same goal:  helping our students become the best that they can be!

Ann Flynn, Director of NSBA Education Technology, can be heard on this Cable in the Classroom Podcast explaining the NSBA Educational Technology Site visits.
