Monday is Martin Luther King Day, there is no school for students.
Regents exams and midterms start Tuesday. You only need to attend school if you are scheduled for one of these exams. Regular classes will not be held. Please stop and see your counselor or the Main Office if you have questions.
Regents exams start Tuesday. Busing will be a little different next week. The bus will bring you to school at the regular scheduled time, but we will offer a 12:00 bus home. If you are a regular bus rider and you need to take the bus home at noon or 3:00 any of the regents days, please stop by the Main Office to sign up. Any questions, see Mrs. Brown
Snow Ball is February 1st. Do you want to invite a guest that does not go to BHS? Well you need to complete a guest form. Guest forms are now available in the Assistant Principal’s office. Guest forms need to be turned in by January 17th with a photo ID. So don’t delay, stop by today to pick up yours.
Sources of Strength will be sponsoring a 30 Days of Kindness Challenge. Each week for the month of January we will be recognizing a trusted adult at BHS that represents that week’s theme. This week's theme will be CARING and SUPPORT!!! Nomination boxes will be in the cafeteria. Show a BHS trusted adult that you appreciate the way they show caring and support to you and others. Also Sources of Strength will be collecting Coins for Kindness. All the monies collected will be donated to the Genesee County Suicide Prevention Program. Look for the water bottles in the main office, in the library, and in the cafeteria.
The varsity wrestling team defeated LeRoy yesterday, finishing with a team score of 63 to 20.
Yaudi Castillo, Tom McCabe, Gabe Yonkin, Gavin Schmitt and Zeshaun Armstrong all finished their matches by pin, and Kaden Marucci finished a hard fought match to contribute a decision win to help lead the team to victory.
Any Juniors interested in a 1/2 day visit to one of the academies or sophomores interested in a 1/2 day visit to the BOCES Technical programs, please sign up in the College and Career Center.
The National Guard will be in during lunch blocks today.
The football team is working hard before school. Battalion and attendance standings have been updated in the display case! Congrats to Terrez Smith battalion for winning the week!
Zach Wagner was Batavia's top skier with a two run combined time of 1.55.46 which would account for an 8th place boys finish. Aubrey Towner continues her strong senior season by finishing in 6th place with a combined time of 2.05.05. 8th Grader Lily Wagner finished 19th 2.25.71. The girls finished in 5th place. Batavia will race next on Wednesday January 22nd
Attention all students: We will not be allowing coffee or fast food deliveries during the school day. Food is not allowed in the classrooms. All food must be consumed in the cafeteria.
Students: please remind your parents that student drop off is not permitted in the Administration Parking Lot on State street. That parking lot is designated for the district office workers parking and as a drop off zone for the busses. For safety of everyone involved, student drop off by parents is not permitted in that lot.
Attention High School Parents: To ensure the safety of all students we will be using an alcohol wand on all who attend future dances. Take Care of BHS!
