Message from the Superintendent
Message from Mr. Bischoping, Interim Superintendent of Schools
Batavia City School District Community:
I am very excited to be part of the Batavia City School District staff as the Interim Superintendent. The welcome that I have received has been overwhelming. While in a way my assignment is to “Take Care of Batavia CSD”, I hope to also support the continual growth of the district in both physical and instructional ways. I plan to use the summer to get a good understanding of Batavia and to support the administrative team in all of the preparations for the start of the 2019-20 school year. I am interested in meeting as many staff, students, and families over the course of the next several months. Also, please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I grew up in Rush and then was hired by the Livonia School District, working there for about 25 years in various roles such as teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal, director of instruction and finally superintendent for the last seven of the twenty-five. For the last 6 years I have been the District Superintendent at the Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES where I worked with 25 schools east of Rochester and west of Syracuse.
The 2020 Vision Capital Project is moving along according to schedule. We always hope for good weather to allow for the renovations contingent on clear skies to continue on track. We are looking forward to everyone being able to see the updates to each of our school buildings as well as the stadium.
Take Care of BCSD!
Scott A. Bischoping
Interim Superintendent of Schools
