Thinking Collaborative is the merger of two organizations: Adaptive Schools Seminars (formerly The Center for Adaptive Schools) and Cognitive Coaching Seminars® (formerly The Center for Cognitive Coaching).
We offer a variety of programs, seminars and resources that serve to maximize individual and organizational thinking and professional collaboration.
What we do?
Our programs and seminars promote thinking and teach people how to collaborate with each other and tap into individual and collective strengths in ways that lead to organizational success. We provide a broad scope of layered professional development tools which support individuals and organizations who are invested in the capacities and capabilities of others.

Cognitive CoachingSM teaches maps and tools for growth-producing conversations.
Art Costa and Bob Garmston, the co-developers of Cognitive CoachingSM, define it as a set of strategies, a way of thinking and a way of working that invites self and others to shape and reshape their thinking and problem solving capacities.
Adaptive Schools teaches strategies and moves for developing collaborative groups.
Bob Garmston and Bruce Wellman, the co-developers of Adaptive Schools, describe the work as developing the resources and capacities of the organizations and of individuals to cohesively respond to the changing needs of students and society.
The mission of Thinking Collaborative is to provide individuals and organizations with the strategies, skills and concepts to establish and sustain structures for thinking and collaborating that result in increased performance and resourcefulness.
