Dear Batavia City School District Parents/Guardians:
Registration for the Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program for 2019 -2020 has now begun.
The Batavia City School District will offer a Universal Prekindergarten (UPK) program again in 2019-20, pending approval of the NYS Budget. Children who are residents of the Batavia City School District and who will be four years old on or before December 1, 2019 are eligible to register for the UPK program. There is no cost to families. UPK has traditionally been a half day program held Monday through Friday for the entire school year (from September through June).
If you would like your child to participate in this program, please apply by completing the enclosed Batavia City School District Registration Form. All registration forms need to be submitted no later than June 3, 2019. Please bring your completed forms and ALL required documents to the Batavia City Schools Instructional Services Office, 260 State St, Batavia, NY 14020. The placement of all children will be made by the school district, and parents will be notified in writing in August.
Please indicate your preferences at the top of the registration form regarding:
- morning or afternoon session
- Jackson School, YMCA or Imagination Station
(Please note that preferences selected are not guaranteed. A lottery system may be used if preferences exceed the
