Bella Art

Senior Artist Isabella Houseknecht, in Mrs. Antonucci's AP Art class, took home first place in the 2021 Congressional Art Competition hosted at GO Art this past Saturday. Students and schools from the surrounding 27th Congressional District were asked to participate.  Pieces were judged and given their awards by an independent panel of judges.

The prize for getting first place means that Bella's work will be hung in the U.S. Capitol for the next year, and Bella and a family member get awarded a trip to Washington DC for a special ceremony with the rest of the nation's congressional winners. Great job, Bella!.

Congratulations to Isabella

First Place: "A New Chapter" by Isabella Houseknecht from Batavia (colored pencil).
