Dear BCSD Families,
As promised, I want to update you on developments regarding yesterday’s mask mandate ruling.
Today, the New York State Appellate Division granted the application by the Department of Health and the Governor’s office. This action confirms that the lower court’s decision to overturn the mask mandate has been temporarily stayed through the end of the day on Friday, January 28th. This means the statewide school district mask mandate remains in effect until the case is heard in court. No date has been set for this case.
Therefore, we are required to continue to enforce the mask mandate at our schools and at events.
