    Technology Education Program

    I am currently teaching the following classes for the 2017-2018 school year:

    • Introduction to Robotics: 1st semester
      • Learn how to build program (VEX) robots and compete in local, state, national, and world competitions.

    • Coding For Sure! (FunJAVA): 2nd semester
      • A fun learning exploration on how to write programming code by creating computer games using Gamemaker Studio, programming LEGO robots, and using the Raspberry Pi to create Scratch code games.

    • AP Computer Science Principles:  Full Year
      • This AP Collegeboard approved course studies computers and computer science in everyday objects in our world. Students create digital artifacts including computer programs, videos, audio, and photographswhile learning essential Computer Science Concepts. Students will program in languages Scratch and Processor. 
      • 17-18 AP CS Principles Course Syllabus - UTeach

    • IT EssentialsFull Year (4 college credits available - GCC)
      • This course is designed to introduce students to the tools and skills required to repair and support computersin the current business market. By the end of the semester, successful students will have the necessary skills to complete and pass the CompTIA© A+ Certification Exam.
      • 17-18 IT Essentials Course Syllabus

    • Design & Draw for Production (DDP)Full Year
      • Full year class = 1 credit (meets HS Art requirement for graduation)
      • Basic elements of design and engineering through computer programs and project based activities

      • SketchUp Make and SolidWorks (3D parametric drawing programs) will be introduced in this class
