Dear Jackson Primary Family, 

We invite you to join us in launching our reading initiative for the 2020-2021 school year, “Reading Through the Seasons.”  We would like to build a reading partnership between home and school by encouraging your child to read for 15-20 minutes each day with an adult at home.  You may read to your child, your child may read to you or you may read together.  This is a unique opportunity to foster reading habits with the whole family and enjoy quality time together.  

Each time you read a book please have your child color a turkey and write the title of the book below it.  

Once your child has colored ten turkeys, bring the sheet back to your child’s teacher for them to add a sticker to their classroom book count and to have their name entered for a prize. 

Can my child return more than one page in a month?  Yes, please send back a page for every ten books read!
