Jackson Primary prepares to celebrate Black History Month
Jackson Primary Art students prepare to learn about Black History Month.
Pre-K is learning about Alma Woodsey Thomas and color identification while creating pieces inspired by her work. Kindergarten is learning about Reggie Laurent and focusing on drawing patterns and cutting organic shapes to create a collage artwork inspired by Laurent. First grade is learning about Jean Michel Basquiat and reviewing warm and cool colors while creating a painting with an Abstract portrait oil pastel portrait that shows emotion based off of his work. We cannot wait to see their masterpieces.
