Assemblyman Steve Hawley has started a campaign for students to create valentines. These valentines are intended to send warm messages to veterans and their families in the New York State Veterans’ Home at Batavia with statements such as, “Thank you for your service”. We are keeping them in mind throughout this pandemic. Our students were very creative. Mr. Hawley will drop off the valentines to the Veterans’ home prior to Valentine's Day.
Miss Ditzel’s 1st grade class supported the “Valentine’s for Veterens” drive sponsored by Assemblyman Steven Hawley. The class had a google meet with him and shared their valentine creations. They had a great time sharing how important it is to thank the Veterans. Thank you for this opportunity to teach our young learners about Veterans.
