Globe and flags

The Batavia City Schools’ Adult ESL (English as a Second Language)  Program helps adults in the community express themselves orally and in writing, access information and resources, make decisions, act independently, interact with others, and continue lifelong learning.  This instructional program is available to students 18 and over.

We welcome people with different levels of understanding. If you know a little or no English– we want you to come! If you already know some English and want to make your English skills better– we want you to come!

Class topics will center around basic English skills for the workplace, communicating with their children’s schools, and living in the community.

Due to COVID-19, all classes will take place online this year! This will allow parents to interact with one another and also to experience the technology their students are using every day for school and remote learning!
