Our fabulous counselors, Miss Nanni and Mr Knapp visited classrooms @BataviaJK today to promote our Golisano Children’s Hospital Holiday Toy Drive.
Using SEL and classroom “Circles” was a great way to learn about our worries and hopes. @BataviaJK 2nd graders getting some wiggles AND worries out using motion. However, our class selfie was photobombed by a crazy reindeer that decided to join us! AKA our talking piece.
Collecting accurate data regarding digital resource access for our New York students will greatly help educators to better serve their students and families. In order to accomplish this, the New York State Education Department is asking parents or guardians to complete a Digital Equity survey (for each student in the family) in grades Kindergarten – Grade12. This survey will provide information on student access to devices and internet access in their places of residence. To assist us in this process, please answer each question below and follow any additional instructions provided for submitting or returning the survey.

Our JK Holiday Toy Drive for the kids of Golisano Children’s Hospital is going STRONG! Needed to call in some help to organize all the toys. Staff and students are definitely spreading some cheer this holiday season. We will continue accepting donations until Dec 17
As part of JK’s ongoing STEAM/library collaboration, students coded robots to maneuver through obstacle courses!

What a day at JK! Delivered thanksgiving dinners to 12 BCSD families, carved Turkey for students, our first Gratitude Walk, a 2nd Grade Macy’s Day Parade and a school wide read aloud to end the day. Thank you to all staff that made today possible! Happy Thanksgiving!
