Genesee County Business/Education Alliance Summer Career Exploration Camps Summer 2024:

  • Camp BOCES (Grades 6-9) July 8 - 12 , 9 am - 3:30 pm - is an exciting week-long day camp designed for middle/high school students. It's an opportunity for young minds to delve into various careers, acquire new skills, and enjoy themselves! Throughout the week, participants will engage in diverse Career & Technical Education programs such as Animal Science, Auto Body/Tech, Computer Information Systems, and an array of other exciting options.

  • Young Dexter's STEAM Camp (Grades 6-9) July 15 - July 19, 9 am - 3 pm - Discover the realms of Mathematics, Science, and Technology through interactive experiences. Engage in hands-on activities covering topics such as Energy Resources, Aviation, Aerodynamics, Astronomy, GPS Mapping, and Robotics right here in our community!

  • Medical Camp (Grades 6-9) July 22 - July 24, 8:30 am - 4 pm - Delve into the world of health professions and discover the wide array of career opportunities within the Medical Industry through this engaging and interactive camp experience!

  • Camp Hard Hat (Grades 6- 10) July 29 - August 2, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm - Gain insights into careers in construction as you actively participate in building components of a community project! Led by certified teachers and GVBOCES Building Trades Instructors, this opportunity provides hands-on learning in a real-world setting.

Cornell Workforce Development For Food & Dairy Processors Presents Dairy Processing Industry Career Exploration: Visit from Cornell University Staff:

YMCA Challenger:
Welcome to Challenger Sports, a specialized program designed for children aged 5-21 with diverse physical and learning abilities. Each season offers a variety of sports, with Spring Sports featuring exciting options like Dance and Swimming. Participation in Challenger Sports comes at a fee of $25 per participant. If you require financial assistance to enroll in the program, please reach out to a Member Service Representative at the YMCA. The YMCA is committed to inclusivity and will not turn anyone away due to financial constraints.

  • Livestock Marketing Series: Session 1 - Thursday, March 28th at 6:30pm

Every Thursday from 3:15 to 5:15 pm, Glow Out! invites youth aged 12-18, along with their allies, to join them in creating a welcoming and secure environment for LGBTQ+ individuals. Glow Out's goal is to provide a space where youth can find support, express their authentic selves, and have a great time! Royal Rangers & Girls Ministries:

Richmond Memorial Library:
Richmond Memorial Library provides a range of cost-free programs catering to kids and teenagers, featuring activities such as the E-Sports Club, Teen Board Game Club, Tween Talk & Fun, Play Café, and Story Time. For additional details, please explore their events calendar or visit their website.

Liberty Center for Youth:
Located at the City Church's St. Anthony's site, the center is open Monday-Friday 2pm-6pm. On Tuesdays, they close at 5. Please complete the registration forms to attend. Registration forms are in English or Spanish.

Text 2B Healthy:
Cornell Cooperative Extension and Snap-ED New York are piloting a texting platform (2B Healthy) to share healthy tips and nutrition ideas.   This platform is available in both English and Spanish.   Batavia students, families and staff are all welcome to join.    Please see the flyer for further details.
