Fourth Grade Innovators Welcomed Help from High School Students

BHS technology teacher Robert Mullen and members of the BHS Robotics Club helped the JK Fourth Grade Innovators learn about robotics. In the morning sessions, they demonstrated various high school level robotics projects for the younger students. In the afternoon, Mr. Mullen spoke to the fourth graders more about careers in technology, the skills needed for those careers, and what they can do right now to help prepare for their futures. Following that presentation, Mr. Mullen, Robotics Club members, and Emilee Hillman from the Genesee Valley Educational Partnership’s School Library Services worked with the JK staff to help the Innovators on several Sphero robotics challenges where the younger students learned how to set up and remotely operate the Sphero robot.
