Free Summer Meal Program for Youth

Summer Feeding featuring Free Meals will again be available for young people under the age of 18. This is provided through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and is administered through the Batavia Youth Bureau Parks Program. No enrollment is necessary, but meals must be eaten onsite. Breakfasts and lunches will be available Monday through Friday, July 1 - August 16, except for July 4.

Four locations of the Parks Program will offer the free lunch: Farrell, Lions, Williams, and Lambert Parks. It will also be offered at the Batavia Youth Bureau. A lunch count will be taken at the parks in the morning and then meals will be delivered between 12 and 12:45 p.m.

In addition, due to the construction work for the District's 2020 Vision Capital Project going on this summer, Jackson School will be hosting the Extended Year Program normally held at John Kennedy School. This is an open site for both breakfast and lunch to anyone under the age of 18. Again, there is no cost but meals must be eaten onsite.
