Meeting the Classes of 2035 and 2036

On Wednesday, August 24, at Jackson Primary’s Robert Morris campus, school social workers Lindsey Dailey, Lisa Bonarigo, and Julie Wasilewski partnered with Jackson Primary and Community Schools for the Sneakers, Supplies, and Socialize event.

The event was for new students entering UPK and Kindergarten. New families were able to meet Principal Maureen Notaro, counselor Carina Bamann, and our social workers to ask any questions and tour a UPK classroom.

Our goal was for all of our families to gain a better understanding of what the school experience at Jackson and Robert Morris will be like.

More than 35 families and 75 children were in attendance. Students took part in coloring, a photo booth, and fun on the playground. Families that attended were also able to pick up school supplies and all the resources they’ll need to start school.

Thank you to the Nutritional Services Department for providing lunches, and special thanks to Pastor Dan Schmidt from Batavia Assembly of God, who donated brand new sneakers.

This was the first session of our social workers’ Empower the Family series. Be on the lookout for their next event!

Thank you to our community for supporting our students and to everyone who attended.
