Genesee Valley BOCES 2026 Educational Improvement Project: Community Vote June 9

Batavia City School District is one of 22 component districts of Genesee Valley BOCES, and on Monday, June 9, residents across the region will vote on a proposed capital improvement project that would modernize BOCES facilities, expand instructional space for career and technical education, and improve campus safety.
This would be the first major capital project undertaken by Genesee Valley BOCES in nearly two decades. Many of the building systems and learning spaces at BOCES campuses have reached the end of their useful life and need upgrades to keep supporting students, staff, and community programs. The project includes significant improvements here in Genesee County, including work at the Batavia Campus.
The vote will be held Monday, June 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Genesee County residents can vote at any of these locations:
- Genesee Valley BOCES, Le Roy Campus — 80 Munson St., Le Roy
- Genesee Valley BOCES, Batavia Campus — 8250 State Street Rd., Batavia
- Early College High School at Byron-Bergen MS/HS — 6917 W. Bergen Rd., Bergen
Additional voting locations are available in Livingston and Wyoming counties.
