Welcome to the Batavia City School District Board of Education page where we encourage you to stay informed with district updates and meetings.

The Board of Education also encourages you to participate and help us to provide the best educational program for the students in our school district. 

The Board of Education is responsible to the State of New York and to local school district residents for the education of public school students. Our school board carries out the laws and regulations pertaining to the education of public school students.

The Board of Education meets regularly in public sessions. Please see below for the current list of meeting dates, times, and locations.

Meetings are mainly held at the BCSD District Office, 260 State Street.  Our meetings can be viewed on our YouTube channel as well.

*Please note that in order to be heard at a Board of Education Meeting, your request must be received by 11:00am the Friday prior to the meeting.

In February of each year, additional information on what you’ll need to run for a seat on the Board of Education will be available for pick up for the May Election/Vote.
